It dropped Classic support and totally broke SCSI. 10.5.x has way too many disadvantages and glaring faults, as I found out after using it for a few months. So that factor doesn't militate in favor of Leopard at all. Obviously there are applications I use that will not run under Tiger, most notably Photoshop 13.0.4 ( "CS6"), but then they don't run under Leopard either. I happen to have separate bootable Tiger/Leopard internal drives in my G5Quad, and I can assure you that Tiger 10.4.11 is optimal for my machine. No PowerPC G5 ever shipped with Leopard, and I absolutely hold Tiger 10.4.11 to be the optimal, snappiest and most stable OS for a G5. While it is true that Leopard 10.5.8 is the latest OS your machine can run, I would personally NOT recommend it. Which OS is the latest/greatest for this machine?
